About the Journal

The International Research Journal on Innovations in Engineering, Science, and Technology (IRJIEST) is a serial source type of publication. Since the establishment of IRJIEST in 2015 by Batangas State University, this journal has been publishing a regular volume of peer-reviewed content in English annually with an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) for print (2449-464X) and online (0115-8228), which are both registered with the ISSN International Centre through the ISSN National Centre of the Philippines.

IRJIEST highly considers both interdisciplinarity and innovation. Any content that is particular to one of the disciplines covered by IRJIEST without a clear discussion of how the results can potentially lead innovations may be dismissed outright.

Types of Content

IRJIEST publishes any of the following content types - research papers, review papers, and communications.

Research papers describe significant findings from the original research work of the authors. These include theoretical exposition and extensive data analytics. Critical evaluation of principles, methods, or applications of new and existing technologies are also considered. However, case studies are excluded from this type of content. The number of words must be at most 8,000 including the references.

Review papers are full-length papers that provide comprehensive information and the latest developments in a specific topic. Review papers critically examine the current state of the art, synthesize all of the relevant literature, and contextualize them to create new and challenging perspectives. There is more flexibility in the format and length of review papers. The number of words must not exceed 12,000 including the references.

Way forward is a type of content that highlights emerging topics, delivers outlooks and perspectives, or features forward-looking and innovative solutions to an identified challenge in engineering, science, and technology. It is not a means of immediate dissemination of research findings, as might be the case with short or rapid communications. The content is limited to 3000 words with at most two (2) displays, which can be either a table or a figure, or both. Instead of following the canonical structure of a research paper, specific headings relevant to the topic presented in each section shall be used.
